Dimensions is as inclusive as possible with publications information, with the belief that it should be in the users hands to be able to filter and limit their searches to specific pre-defined subsets of publications. The decisions of which groupings to use should of course be as informed as possible, and the information below is intended to aid this decision making.

The following journal lists are available as filters in Dimensions. Each list of journals is recognised as an independent grouping outside of Dimensions, and below each description you can find a link to the original information on an external website if you would like more information or background.

Norwegian register

The Norwegian register, officially the "Norwegian Register for Scientific Journals, Series and Publishers", is operated jointly by the Norwegian Centre for Research Data (NSD) and the National Board of Scholarly Publishing (NPU). The list shows which scientific publications are recognized in the weighted funding model and includes around 30k source titles. The Norwegian register divides journals and series considered to meet scientific quality criteria into Level 1 and Level 2, where Level 2 is superior than Level 1. These scientific quality criteria include a valid ISSN, a scientific editorial board, and a peer-review process. Source titles which do not meet these criteria are identified as Level 0.
